PHYS 260 Astrophysics

An introduction to fundamental concepts in astrophysics. Topics include the fusion of elements in stars, stellar remnants (white dwarfs, pulsars and black holes), supernova, the Milky Way, other galaxies, and dark matter. This course will revisit the principles of physics needed to interpret astronomical observations.
