POLS 140 Law and Society

Law shapes the day to day experiences and functioning of individuals, communities, and institutions in multiple ways. This introductory course examines the diverse connections and relationships of law and society. The course will draw on theoretical and empirical perspectives from a diverse range of disciplines (such as legal studies, sociology, anthropology, and political science) to explore law and law’s role within the United States and internationally.
