SPAN 301 Introduction to Pre-Columbian and Colonial Latin American Literature and Civilization

General survey of Pre-Columbian civilizations and literature of Meso and South America the impact of the Discovery the Conquest the Colonial Period and the processes leading to the Independence and the formation of the new Republics. Literary and historical readings compositions and short essays and presentations will be used to continue developing language skills.
