CTSJ 227 Decolonizing Education

This course considers decolonial theories of education in relation to action- and land-based knowledge. Focusing on a variety of spaces and multidisciplinary texts, this course will explore differing ways of understanding education through Native American and Indigenous approaches to knowledge and knowing, land and place, as well as social and familial relations. Students should already have a working knowledge of theories of coloniality, intersectionality, and race.
