Topics vary semester to semester. Students are encouraged to have completed UEP 101 or other relevant UEP courses prior to enrolling in this course.

Ending Homelessness: Urban Public Policy Challenge

The Homelessness Emergency in Los Angeles is a real-time laboratory reflecting the most urgent elements of the New Urban Crisis, including housing affordability, policing, racial inequity, addiction and mental illness, political polarization and dysfunctional governance. This course focuses on implementing the systemic changes needed to get to "Functional Zero" to make homelessness "rare, brief and non-recurring."
