MATH 322 Number Theory

Introductory course in elementary number theory.  Prime numbers, modular arithmetic, linear congruences, primitive roots, quadratic reciprocity, continued fractions and Pell's equation, and applications to cryptography.  Open problems in number theory will also be introduced.
