POLS 248 Moot Court II

This course introduces students to the art of oral argument using legal theory and Supreme Court precedent. Students will work with a teammate to prepare oral arguments and also develop skills for debating constitutional issues in a competitive environment based on a yearly prompt issued by the American Moot Court Association and its pre-defined set of Supreme Court cases. This class will ask students to prepare arguments on both sides of an issue and also to learn strategies and techniques to succeed in sparring rounds with classmates and at regional and national tournaments.
