CWP 495 Writing Fellows Practicum
The Writing Fellows Practicum is for current Writing Fellows working in the Writing Center as embedded tutors in selected FYS courses. In the practicum, Writing Fellows will gain knowledge of advanced writing pedagogy, how to design and implement writing curriculum, and enhance their training and skills in working with students in a classroom environment. Work will include weekly workshop reviews, discussion of assigned readings and other materials, and practical engagement in best practices in teaching writing and writing center work. Enrollment in this practicum requires permission of the Writing Center Director, hiring as a Writing Fellow, and completion of two semesters of CWP 395 (with grades of A- or higher).
