LLAS 241 Immigration Law and Politics
This course provides a multi-disciplinary insight into various aspects of migration and immigration law and politics. Students read and analyze important legal precedent through the study of case law as well as explore historical trends in migration to the United States. This course approaches the issue of immigration from three major standpoints: the legal, the political, and the historical. Topics include but are not limited to immigration from Latin America, asylum, temporary protected status and citizenship.
