PHIL 201 Philosophy Through Baking

A hands-on introduction to philosophy. As students bake and break bread together, they will explore a variety of philosophical topics, including the aesthetics of taste, the morality of food practices, the metaphysics of producing and consuming food, and other culinary provocations. A course in experiential learning, students will learn how to perfect the sourdough loaf while discussing the value of imperfection.
