EDUC 142 Spanish Language Community Literacy
In this course, Occidental students who are Spanish speakers will support students and teachers in Dual Language Programs in the local schools. Support will consist of Spanish language development and language enrichment activities that will create an engaging and critically conceptual environment for elementary and middle school students. Occidental students will meet with the professor several times throughout the semester and will work with elementary and middle school students in their classroom two hours a week during the school day. Transportation to the schools will be provided for those who need it. Graded on a Credit/No Credit basis. May be repeated for credit. For further information, email the professor.
