Summer Session
Occidental College offers a very limited number of courses during the summer as well as the opportunity to engage in independent study projects, internships, and research. Only current students are eligible to enroll in the summer session, with the exception of certain special programs where incoming first-year and transfer students may be invited to participate.
The summer provides an opportunity for Occidental students to make progress toward their degree and to satisfy Core requirements with a curated collection of selected courses. All courses, including examinations, are offered remotely while directed research and Occidental’s distinctive Multicultural Summer Institute (MSI) meet on campus.
