Transfer Credit Policies
IB or A-level examinations in Biology will not substitute for an Occidental course or place students into advanced courses. Online courses are not accepted for transfer.
There is no transfer credit limit for 100-level BIO courses, CHEM courses, or courses fulfilling the Quantitative Literacy requirement, but at most two 200-level BIO courses in transfer and at most one 300-level BIO course in transfer can be used to fulfill the major requirements.
For the minor at most two courses in transfer may be used to fulfill the Additional Biology Electives requirement.
