FYS 63 Dancing with Technology
This course explores how dance and technology intersect. Students will use wearable motion-capture tools to record movement, design dance activities that integrate technology, and test their ideas with commercial systems. Along the way, we will consider questions such as: How is technology currently used in dance? Should we be mixing technology and dance? How can we design better interactions with wearable technology through dance? What relevant dance information is available through motion capture? Is technology helpful to become better dancers? Open to first-year frosh only.
